We are often asked:

I heard that after 7 years a collection falls off your credit report. This is absolutely true-in theory; however in real life the collection may or may not report. According to the law a debtor can report a collection account for 7 years and then they can’t report this anymore. The clock can’t start re-ticking just because they sold the bad debt or that you paid or settled the debt.

We are experts in cleaning up your credit report. Need advice?
